Community Involvement
Who We Support
Below is just a glance of the many local community, charities, programs and events Wayzata Lodge supports:
Wayzata Car Show
Wayzata Lodge hosts the Annual Wayzata Car Show in the early Fall, bringing the community together for a fun event to help raise funds for our annual High School Scholarship program.
Reading Program
Every Winter, Wayzata Lodge donates to local and inner city Elementary Schools to assist with their reading programs so that every young student has access to books.
Local Highway Cleanup
Every Spring and Fall, members of Wayzata Lodge collect garbage and debris from our local ‘Adopt a Highway’ stretch of road on the outskirts of town to help clean up the community.
Haberdashery Day
Every Spring, Wayzata Lodge hosts young men from around the community for a learning session with various topics that include conflict resolution, professional social skills, attire, and table etiquette.
Second Harvest Heartland
Wayzata Lodge volunteers our time and resources multiple times a year to Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park to help fight hunger with packing food on a local and regional scale.
Flag Placement
Wayzata Lodge volunteers to place American flags at the graves to remember all of our veterans at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend.
Special Olympics
Wayzata Lodge contributes, sponsors, and volunteers to jump in the annual winter Polar Plunge event in Prior Lake, benefitting the worthy cause of the Special Olympics of Minnesota.
Dave Vice Clay Shoot
Wayzata Lodge sponsors the Annual Dave Vice Sporting Clays Shoot each Spring to benefit the Shriner’s Healthcare Camps and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
IOCP Food Shelf
Wayzata Lodge contributes each Winter to the Inter Faith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP) in Plymouth to help fund their food shelf to provide no-cost food and household essentials to those who need it.
Seasonal Bell Ringing
Wayzata Lodge contributes and volunteers during the holiday season to the Salvation Army Bell Ringing in Wayzata. This service across the country helps millions of people with food, shelter and gifts.
First Responders Dinner
Every September, Wayzata Lodge hosts a BBQ Dinner for the Wayzata Fire Department, Police Department and First Responders for everything they do for the community.
Fire Suppression Tools
Wayzata Lodge has given local First Responders of the West Metro with FST devices, which quickly assist in limiting fire expansion during emergencies to help save lives.
Minnesota Masonic Charities
Wayzata Lodge No. 205 combines with Minnesota Masonic Charities (MMC) on some of our fundraising efforts. MMC provides matching funds and direct grants for larger charitable programs. Wayzata Lodge No. 205 can therefore raise local Scholarships funds for neighboring High School Students and double the amount of the money we raise for some of our other Charities we support.
